With the Covid-19 crisis, things that we have assumed to be certain, suddenly no longer apply. This series emerged from the confrontation with feelings such as insecurity, uncertainty, confusion, powerlessness - but also longing and hope. I worked with several zoom settings in one long exposure to express the paradox that the world (has) changed incredibly fast, while at the same time everything seems to sort of standing still.
Bio Daria Martinoni is a non-professional photographer working and living in Zurich, Switzerland. As a Geographer, she uses photography to playfully (de)construct urban spaces, to spatially re-stage urban contexts, and to play with our perception of space and reality. She experiments with long shutter speeds and several zoom settings or camera positions in one exposure. With this approach, she aimes at questioning our making of the world through experience and knowledge.
