    The house is located in the central area of the city of Sapporo, Japan. We started working on this project imagining that it would be possible to live comfortably by creating a space that is closed but also open. The site faces a street with lots of traffic on the east, and across the street, there is a high-rise apartment building. To create comfort in such an environment, four courtyards of various sizes were inserted into the house to let in natural sunlight and sky view into the space.
