The image of a woman cradling an infant, also known as the Madonna and Child, is depicted in thousands of paintings, from many cultures and historical periods. I find this relationship to be the most innocent and pure form of love anyone could possibly know. I want it to be piece of celebration, a chair that would celebrate the care, strength, warmth, and victories of mothers. While conceptualizing this piece, I wanted the user to be a part of the sculpture, that once you sit on the chair, you become the child of Madonna.
