PASTA BY DESIGN aims to improve the quality of pasta to a diverse, sustainable, and tasty super food to provide a tangible solution to help people decrease the environmental impact of the food we are eating while increasing the nutritional value of the food. The design of PASTA BY DESIGN is based on a concept called ‘Form Follows Taste’. The shape of the food directly responds to the main ingredient that they contain. Each of the pastas designed illustrates the form of nature found within the food.
Bio Chloe Kang started her artist career at age five, won an international award from Fine Art Education Research Institute, following Apple Design Award with an interactive story game. Her design was recognised by Three Network UK last year 2021 in the 5G router design competition. She and her team won the first prize award. Chloe approaches the project based on emulating nature. She produces sustainable design that goes beyond using nature as inspiration for aesthetics but rather deeply studying and applying construction principles that are found in natural environments and species.
