Corviale is a suburban area of Rome (south-west), where a one-kilometre-long housing complex is located consisting of six lots of buildings where live about 4500 people. Built in the early 1980s it showed many critical issues; a significant part of the inhabitants illegally occupy the lodgings. The choice of infrared shooting is due to the need to highlight the almost surreal alienness of this real estate insertion in the urban context of Rome and also a means which, in my opinion, suggests the silence that is felt walking in this place despite the fact that it is highly inhabited.
