The spirit of an immigrant woman
PrizeHonorable Mention in Video & Film
The basis for this project is the expression "Ashlonuk", which mean "how are you". Literal: "What is your color?"
As a child in Baghdad, I lived among my family of all generations at large house (Khan)and under the same roof huddled sometimes five generations.
The question:"How are you" (=Ashlunuk", was asked in a house dozens of times a day,
Today we introduce these questions through Facebook, Twitter, etc.
But we do not personally gaze into the eyes of the authentic object of our question, waiting his response.
Souls to which I speak in my video come out from the images.
