Living on the Beacon of hope.

I had the pleasure of staying with the farmers of Western Haraaz, specifically belonging from the Dawoodi Bohra community, a minority within the Ismaili-Shiite group of Islam. This photograph out of many is the one th at really brings forth the very essence of the people of Yemeni. It shows the warmth, tenderness and softness, yet the strength, courage and honesty of these people. Sheikh al-Naji al-Qayeri was one of the most reputable farmer, merchant and farmland owner in a small town in the region of Western Haraaz known as Bani-Qayer.
