    Dancing Smoke

    This project started many years ago when I glanced up and saw the sun light up the smoke of my burning incense. Determined to recreate the effect I set up a similar situation in my studio. I was amazed to see how many different ways the smoke could curl and twist. The original collection was made up of just single plumes but later, when I looked at the shapes with different eyes, I discovered they could be combined, like friends or lovers coming together. Hundreds of images were analyzed, compared, turned, and flipped before the final composites were created. And maybe, there's more to come.
