We want to make paradigms a thing of the past. We want to see tomorrow’s art today.

Since starting out in 2006, the London International Creative Competition has been recognising and rewarding the world’s most fresh and progressive talents. Our artists are connected not by conventions, but by qualities. They work across a diverse range of formats, from painting to printmaking and from fashion to photography. We’re not looking for anything done by-the-book. We’re looking for work that is as visual as it is vital.

About Us

LICC is the brainchild of two artists, Launa Bacon and Hossein Farmani, for Farmani Group.

Farmani Group is a leading organization curating and promoting photography, design and architecture across the globe since 1985. Hossein Farmani is the founder of two non-profit organizations “The Lucie Awards” and “Focus on AIDS” as well as the award-winning VUE magazine, International Photography Awards, Px3 (Prix de la Photographie de Paris), Art For New York, aNet Communications and more.

Winning LICC is an exciting opportunity, and an incredible building block for a career in the arts. Every year our panel of established creative luminaries shortlist design projects and select “Finalists” published online. The Annual London International Creative competitions winners received cash prizes of $2,000 for “The LICC Artist of the Year” professional and a student grant of $2,000 for “The LICC New Talent of the Year”. Never has there been such a seamless Segway into the forefront of the global arts community.

Submission Guidelines

We welcome submissions from every corner of the globe, with previous finalists hailing from from Iran to India, from Ecuador to Ireland, and from Italy to the U.S. We don’t care where you’re from; we just care about where you’re going. We want to make this THE year the World learns your name!

We aren’t interested in the Damien Hirsts and Grayson Perrys of the world. We want to hear from new, exciting artists. We want to be the platform introducing unique, extraordinary, but unknown names to an international audience.

Everyone working with the same guidelines is the best way to ensure fair judgement, so please take a few seconds to read our requirements.

For best results, make sure your images are a jpg/png at least 1000px wide on longest side, and no larger than 4MB.

Submit the URL link to your online work and ensure that only the submitted entry is on that webpage. Youtube and Vimeo are two of our favorites for this. Please make sure that the video you are sharing is publicly available so the jury can watch it.

Word documents or PDF, not exceeding 500 words. Book example submissions are to be in a multi-page PDF, not exceeding five pages.

Submit the URL link in the description portion of the online entry.

Entry Fees

In order to cover the administration costs of LICC, and to help fund the promotion and publicity of the winners, we do ask for a small entry fee. This is US$ 40 for professionals, or US$20 for students and non-professionals. A 15% discount is applicable when submitting your project to additional subcategories; the online payment needs to made in one time. Note that the entry fee you choose dictates whether you are eligible for the LICC Artist of the Year award or the LICC New Talent of the Year award.

Make it happen

For us, art is oxygen. Without it, our planet simply wouldn’t be the same incredible place it is. Imagine a city without architecture. What would it look like?

Without creativity, the world would just be an empty frame.
Without creatives, the world would be monochrome.

Being a creative is about defining your own set of rules, then breaking them.

It’s about recognizing the most difficult path, then taking it.
It’s about walking right off the edge of the map.
