This series depicts how loss is a part of our identity. The viewers are encouraged to reflect on conflicts emerging from loss via the juxtaposed colors of blue connoting sadness and orange connoting frustration. From the cotton yarn as a motif of fire to the destructed toys, many bizarre elements underline how we tend to run away from loss by identifying loss as something 'bizarre' that we must forget. My creation of such a 'bizarre' environment thereby becomes an attempt to evoke a sensual experience in which loss' significance for self-discovery can be seen.
