My goal is to produce portraits that capture the personality of those being photographed. I'm drawn to all people but particularly to people of colour and women. I like to be creative and produce beautiful painterly images; to put a spotlight on the individual so they own the space and really stand out. My aim to to create images that are eye catching, stylish and contemporary with a classical touch.
Bio Born in Londons' East End, Portland based photographer Lola Wallace has travelled the globe producing carefully studied photograph essays, ranging from Portland’s legendary glamorous drag queen, Darcelle, to raising awareness and funds for displaced and endangered women in India for several NGO's. Since coming back to Portland, Lola has focused on portrait photography, trying to break the mold of formal studio sessions contrasting classical fine art lighting with fun and irreverent mood. Lola recently exhibited her own show at Lonesome Pictopia, a women owned Portland business.
