    Our colorful world is dominated by three-dimensional phenomena. Shadows, however, are two-dimensional, almost monochromatic representations of these phenomena. The main focus of my artwork is the shadow; flat images resulting from the effects of light on people and objects, reminiscent of fragmented narratives about the world as we know it. My paintings focus on flatness, which reflects the material reality (a gray world of shadows).
