A disused church bought back to life as an exemplary sustainable arts venue for the benefit of the local community. Each year a young artist is given free accommodation and a generous bursary to engage with local schools as the artist in residence developing their own work and demystifying the arts. The beautiful redundant building is given a new lease of life with additional insulation and green technologies reducing carbon emissions by 75%. The main space can be converted to a performance, film or music venue incorporating state of the art AV systems in to the historic fabric.
