"Americanization of Guernica" speaks about the recent growth of Fascism in the United States. It compares similar political and cultural events in America to those that prevailed in Guernica in 1937 during the Spanish Civil War. Americanized imagery replaces Picasso's images that represented the tragedies of war and the suffering of individuals, especially civilians. It is my voice, a protest against violence.
