Hanzas Perons, once an abandoned cargo warehouse on the edge of the city of Riga, has been given a new use as a cultural venue. The previously inaccessible industrial heritage site was preserved almost intact - beautiful brick walls, wooden beams, many sliding doors, and gates. While preserving the historical details, an external steel framework encases and extends the original building, surrounded by a glass structure and a pine board double façade. The old warehouse and its architectural components are now an integral part of the interior, revealing spacious lobbies and column-free hall.
