    CreditThe Lviv National Opera Choir performs in a church where statues are sheltered from possible damage from explosions

    After the beginning of the russian full scale invasion lots of musicians from all over the country evacuated to Lviv in western Ukraine, just like I did. At the end of March 2022 the charity concerts started being held there, a bit later the Lviv Opera started working again, as well as the Lviv Philharmonic, which at the same time operated as the humanitarian center. Sometimes events had to be interrupted to go down to the basements during missile attacks. Bomb shelters became the new concert venues. I tried to record how music and art continued to live on during the war.
