Textures of Goodbye
This image reflection is the result of a long goodbye and the confrontation with the impossibility of controlling the now. Most of the images take place in a hospital space, with some exceptions where I give new meaning to spaces and experiences. They talk about fragility, resilience, the survival of the species, a possible form of immortality. The work was carried out in 2023.The images can be found in the presentation sequence.
Bio I was born in the city of Rio de Janeiro, at midnight on a May day in any year of the 20th century. I currently live and work in Porto Alegre, a city in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. I'm a visual artist, teacher and researcher at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). In this way, I live photography in full-time. Since the 2000s, I have been producing and exhibiting work related to photography. Create images that go beyond the photographic reference, expanding their original meaning. my imagery process can be either analogue or digital photography.
