HOME SWEET HOME

One of the aims of this project was to change the impression of a completely ordinary everyday scene.
The motifs are painted with a strong touch of saturation and contrast, giving a somewhat unusual and dramatic impression to an everyday scene. In the title of the work, I chose a word that expresses the situation behind the scene with a touch of humour, thereby giving the depicted scene a story and making a seemingly ordinary everyday scene seem somewhat sentimental and humorous at the same time.

Bio
I started creating digital paintings in 2022 when I was selected for the 221st edition of The Choice (a well-known illustration competition in Japan). Currently, I mainly produce digital paintings, but I also produce three-dimensional works and paintings in a variety of mediums.

At the ARTE LAGUNA PRIZE 17th Edition in Venice in 2023, I was selected as one of 120 finalists out of more than 10 000 applicants worldwide (the number of applicants per category is not disclosed).
Since then I have been actively exhibiting my work in open competitions, art festivals and group exhibitions.
