Moved by the sheer beauty of the sunset over the sea in Naoetsu, he aimed to create a work that could be formed by incorporating the scene without disturbing the existing beauty. He focused on the reflection of the sky in the sparse pools of seawater remaining on the beach, and considered reconstructing the seawater into a geometric shape. He also focused on the ebb and flow of the tides and aimed to create a mechanism whereby seawater accumulates in the container at high tide and only the water in the container remains at low tide, thereby creating something generated by the forces of nature.

Deeply fascinated by changing natural scenery, Nish recreates optical phenomena through materials and structures, crafting new spaces of light. His work allows viewers to experience natural beauty by applying knowledge of optics, meteorology, and mechanics, while incorporating geometry and natural elements like sunlight and wind. Nish emphasizes the atmosphere his works create, fostering harmony between the piece and its surroundings. He believes this atmosphere shapes the space's character, bringing natural forces to the forefront and renewing appreciation for their beauty.
