    The Monk and the Pigeons

    Digital photo, 2023. Single shot, unaltered, only edited for color correction. Taken in a public square in Kathmandu, Nepal on a Sony a7rV with a 50mm lens. The pigeons were being fed by locals in the square behind the monk. I was set up to take the shot when a military procession went by and fired their rifles. The birds all took flight at the same time, and I was already set up and framed up for the unexpected shot!

    Philadelphia native and world traveler, Aaron is an award winning landscape and street photographer, recently taking photography excursions to Argentina, Nepal, and Norway. When not traveling, Aaron maintains his reverence for all the beauty that Pa has to offer and brings his original perspective and artistic sense to local highlights. Winner of Best in Photography at both the 2023 Manayunk Arts Festival and Chestnut Hill Arts Festival. His work has been shown in galleries in Philadelphia, Wayne, Ambler, and NY. In the summers he shows his work in local Art Festivals.
