    Israel has launched air and ground attacks on Gaza on October 7, 2023. Israel’s war on Gaza is leaving large swaths of the Palestinian territory reduced to rubble and a large number of Palestinians dead, most of them women and children. The Israeli war has left Gaza in ruins, with most of the enclave's infrastructure damaged or destroyed, huge number of residents displaced amid acute shortages of food, clean water and medicines. Many Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in the Gaza conflict, which broke out after the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas.
