    In surveying the site, the design team committed to preserving as much of the original facade—including doors, windows, and railings—as possible, to avoid disturbing the building's refined aesthetic. Although traditional Chinese design elements might typically adorn the interior, dialogue with the client as well as mindfulness towards the budget constraints and commercial context, have led to a departure from strict adherence to tradition.he aim was to inject flexibility into the historic structure, achieving a balance that is "neutral, yet prominent."
