Experiencing the effects of the passage of time is one of the common threads of humanity that we are all tied to. The quilt in this piece signifies the idea of the “tapestry of life,” and by embedding it into an otherwise mundane scene of two women simply standing together, I aim to show how every one of us is a part of this tapestry and that the thread of time is present in each of our lives. We’re all more similar than we are different, and our lives are deeply interwoven, a testament to the shared human experience.
