    The Minato Mirai 21 district in Yokohama was built from a former shipyard. Since 1983, cultural and commercial facilities have colored the city. For the 40th anniversary visual, we created a harmonious expression of the district’s history, and a symbol for the people. The colorful shapes express a minimal grid-like landscape. Its faded tone gives a sense of time and warmth. By “imagining” the scenery from shapes which “easily remain in people's memories,” we are made to consider how to leave an impression. The “shape of the future colored by Minato Mirai 21” reflects a memorable anniversary.
