This was a painting I created at the Texas Academy of Fine Art. It took me quite a long time to paint as it has a lot of detail due to it's medical illustrative qualities. It is an oil painting on linen canvas from a still life of a plaster sculpture and fabric. I named it "Everything Can Be Beautiful," as one of the other students told me after I had finished painting it, that she was surprised that I could take something that looked so ugly and make it look so beautiful. The color, anatomy, and paint studies helped immensely in creating this work.
