    The project is titled as History of La Gomera, a small Island in Canary Islands, Spain that me, my family, my parents and our ancestors before them lived, worked and died there. With the visual language of art and a fusion of magic, history and my emotional bond to my birth and living place, in this series of paintings, created between 2017 to 2019, all oil on canvas, I present an expression of life in La Gomera.

    Bio
    Pompeyo Curbelo Martín is a painter born in San Sebastián de la Gomera whose professional development at an artistic level has been in Vienna, Austria. His paintings are mainly influenced by impressionism, framed by a movement called art in its new dimension, which is an evolution of modern art. Most of his works are based on island origins and the influence of the environment where he grew up in the Canary Islands. As an emerging artist, his works is internationally recognized in Europe and raises interest in US recently.
