In a scene dominated by Western aesthetics,Chinese Ink Painting speaks heavily accented like a foreigner alien to a modern city-dweller. The reiteration of subjects like mountains and nature pass like stories of Iliad and I cannot relate. From where I've been painting in the 19 years of my life,on the dining table beside my kitchen,what I see is my mother's cooking and the mechanics behind the operations of daily life. I want to capture the atmosphere of familiar domestic scene and show that creativity comes from the beauty of daily life. We cannot neglect the quaint appeal of the mundane.
