    This is a new type of elderly home that is open to the community as a nexus for exchange. Breaking away from the closed-form of the elderly home, we created a connection to the community in the common areas of this home. We aim to eradicate the closed image of nursing homes, creating a new home where neighbors and residents can mingle. Residents can choose the community involvement that they are comfortable with through the multiple functions of the building. The project is a symbolic glass box, a community nexus that is visible within the local townscape.
