    The Aviator

    "The Aviator" is number eighteen in a series of interactive sculptures called AeroPods. It is a tribute to the golden years of air travel and man's ingenuity that made it happen. Every detail, from the shaped aluminum skin to the period-correct instrument panel to the intricate system of surprise pop-outs was made by hand to reflect the features of the legendary DC-3, the airplane that started it all. It is a sculpture meant to bring joy to the viewer, like being a pampered passenger on a nostalgic flight through the night sky.
