    Its become a hybrid.... So ancient this antipodian land, rich in stories of the dreaming, pillage, exceptional talent, hard toil, punishing climates, despair and reward. As a recent 'blow-in' giving visual sensibility to a place so ancient, but entirely infused by modern aesthetic sentiment has been a ten year challenge. The intention of this series is to create a visual 'Australiana' not limited by artistic practice but to deploy tools both modern and ancient through digital collaging Australian fauna alongside handmade backgrounds, paper carving and encaustic and cold wax.
