A round house
Reconstruction and refurbishment of a round house in Moscow region which shape reminds a "yurt-type" dwelling. Except for the roof skeleton the house was demolished and re-built anew with the floor plans changed completely. The original house with small rooms, low ceilings and limited natural light transformed into a spacious comfort modern home which maximizes interior space and natural light. The unique twists and turns of the structure were emphasized using a carefully selected color palette, materials, and furniture shapes blending innovative design with the natural beauty of the region.
