    This project explores the often stereotyped qualities of East Asian women, characterized by a sense of haziness, reserve, and ambiguity. Their faces are woven under metallic threads. I attempt to break these stereotypes by exaggerating the costumes, a slightly upward perspective, and an almost disdainful expression, penetrating almost through the medium of the image. The original veil seems powerless to restrain anything, appearing merely as a decoration of the self.
