The Dream Worker

This is a Portrait of Livy, a Dream worker confronting the multiple versions of herself within a dream. The powerful symbolism within dreams can reveal a lot about our inner thoughts, hidden desires and emotions. It is these elements which form a great source of inspiration in my work acting as a window on the subconscious mind.

Bio
Laura Antonia Abbott is a British, Fine Art and Conceptual Photographer, with a multi disciplinary artistic background. Laura’s work is rich in symbolism. Surrealist dreamscapes emerge from her visual imagery; influenced by her poetic observations of the world and human encounters. Recurrent themes that frequent her work are the search for female identity, threats to the natural world and mental health. Laura constructs her images primarily on location with rich colours and handmade props created from recycled materials where possible.
