In the search for ancient forgotten Italian architecture, I often come across the ancient beauty that characterizes churches and private chapels. These deconsecrated places seem to strenuously resist neglect and inclement time. The belief that fed these places long ago seems to give the last energy to these environments. These walls have assimilated thousands of prayers of ancient believers. Prayers that still seem able to sustain with desperate hope these centuries-old environments, destined, perhaps, to collapse definitively.
Bio Christian Basetti from Milan. Since 2015, he has been passionate about ancient decadent places, giving voice to these structures full of melancholy charm as if they were silent narcissistic creatures waiting for someone to express their greatness. Inspired by Caravaggio, he's creator of Forgotten Art-chitectures project, decayed places are not shot just with an usual limited documentary aspect, as many others do, but they are like painted fine art canvas aimed at aesthetics. Discoverer just about real places (not fake A.I)
