Magritte, Escher, Monet, and Dali have long captivated my imagination; how they translated familiar realities into the fantastic. As an architect for 40 years (now retired), I am drawn to the magic of light. Since 2018, I have sought vantage points in major cities internationally to capture moments of unintentional architecture. Rather than capture a building directly, I interpret them through their neighbors. These experiences tease my periphery in every city, and I hope others, to look beyond the familiar and uncover, or rediscover, the fantastic.
