This series exposes the polarizing effects that lighting can have on a scene. Specifically, the light that is produced by nature at night. Night and darkness often carry an atmosphere of fear and anxiety however, there are also scenes of wonder and beauty with merely a change of lighting. Through the use of long exposures, time of year, lunar cycles, and solar flares, the hidden beauty of this world is captured.

Bio
Anthony Ranieri is an artist in the mediums of Photography and Digital photo manipulation. Travel fuels his artistic passion, particularly landscapes, as well as abandoned buildings, macro worlds, night and starlight photography. He acquired a Diploma of Media Arts at Sheridan College, and working in the film industry learned to embrace harsh weather. Drawing from this, he often uses harsh weather in his artwork to give a scene new light and atmosphere, rather than waiting for a sunny day to take in the view.
