I explore the transformative power of light, or phos in Greek, as a force of healing and renewal. This autobiographical photographic series emerged from a personal journey through a dark period in my life, where I learned that light is not merely an element of visibility but a profound symbol of hope. Light, in this context, became a metaphor for strength, a reminder of the potential to rebuild and create a new world from fractured pieces. In the words of artist Björk, after trauma, we must “dig a cave into the future” and demand space for hope. My aim is to lead the viewer to the light.
