Cahoots bar vintage branding

a trio of posters were commissioned for the Cahoots bar in Carnaby Street, London, to accentuate the 1940s aesthetic of the venue. Utilising authentic imagery from the era, three designs were created for the ‘Ticket Hall Boozer’ area, with one design also printed onto pint glasses.

Sarah Sumeray is an artist based in London creating retro comic-inspired art and pop culture reimagined as vintage cartoons. Her work aims to feature all you’d expect from aged kids comics, including authentic-looking faded halftones and damaged inks. Most of her work is created digitally, and is influenced by the many comics taking over her home! Sarah’s work has been featured in galleries both in the U.K. and abroad and clients include Jack White, The Smashing Pumpkins, Wheatus, Bottleneck Gallery, Gallery 1988 and Pride.
