The holiday villa is located in the countryside of Pudong, Shanghai. Courtyards and vertical gardens weave through the house to create a harmony between the interior and exterior spaces. The design draws inspiration from traditional oriental gardens. The residence prioritizes communal areas where family members can gather, fostering harmony. Embracing modernity in a rural setting, the design not only highlights the villa’s clean lines and contemporary form but also represents a bold statement about the potential for modern architecture in non-urban contexts, especially for rural Shanghai.
