King Sejong the Great created Hangul in 1443 to improve literacy, especially among lower classes and women. His simple and efficient script, initially with 28 characters, was designed for daily use and reflects his care for his people. Hunminjeongeum Haerye, a critical historical text explaining Hangul, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Written in Chinese, it’s difficult to understand due to a lack of visual data. To engage readers, the book includes reinterpretations and abstract illustrations to convey deeper meanings.
