    A hotel tucked away in the abundant nature of Karuizawa, a villa resort not far from Tokyo. We sought to create a hotel where guests can “spend time as if they were at home” rather than being just a place to stay over. Taking advantage of the location, using a color scheme based on the landscape, and building with natural materials overall, the connection between inside and outside is emphasized, with light and wind gently passing through. As an opportunity to experience the nature and culture of Karuizawa, it will become a place of peace and relaxation, like a second home.
