Silence Brooch (Ma Collection)

This brooch is part of the Ma Series. Light and impermanence inspired the collection of slightly displaced silver strips that create unexpected shadows and reflections. The concept of "ma" from Japanese culture has been incorporated here, as it carries a spatial-temporal concept characterized by immateriality. "Ma" represents the space, the intermission, and the silence between objects or events, suggesting beauty and substance in emptiness and pause: a space of possibility and availability, a sheltered silence that opens us to glimpses and connection.
