As antimicrobial resistance grows, hospitals face increased pressure from bed shortages and infection risks. OPAT enables IV antibiotic treatment at home but requires solutions for chilled antimicrobial delivery. Interviews with 25 patients revealed usability challenges with current elastomeric infusers. CryoCare, a vacuum-insulated flask, enhances portability, usability, and comfort while ensuring clinical efficacy. Innovations include optimised PCM, streamlined workflows, versatile wear options, and digital temperature monitoring—prioritising ease of use and patient dignity during treatment.
