Metamorphosis

The project inspires from silkworm birth. First of all it is a cocoon and that by passing the time it will be ready to bust the skin and fly to the new world. The concept of human life is very similar to silkworm cycle. At the beginning, human nature is frail like a blossom who needs to be looked after. In the second stage which is during teenage years it will become more independent and walk to the new world of trying new things. Finally, mind will be opened in order to make a lot of experiences during the life exactly same as the butterfly's flying experience. I desire to show this story with my costumes.

Bio
My name is Dina Abdoos. I am a multidisciplinery visual artist working with paints, drawing, illustrations, murals, creating art with mixed media and videos as well as play in performances. I am originally from Tehran. My whole life has been filled with colour drops since I was a child. I used to paint on everything from a cup to the bathroom wall.
