Located at Dazhi, an emerging urbane district in Taipei City, the IN HOUSE SALON is a hairdressing store on the ground floor in a new building. For its 4.2-meter-hight indoor space, the designer skillfully extends working area by means of mezzanine architectural structure. Based on the personal characteristic of hairstylist, the boss of salon, the designer brings to customers a stress-free environment by applying a number of woods and natural construction materials. The indoor space becomes roomy by the design ideas of tall reception area, crisscross paved floor, cube-surface counter, wall between reception and working area, etc. Meanwhile, the application of mirrors and lightings gives rise to a pleasing environment. The entire space comes to be consistent and harmonious by means of large green wall, curved display stand with artificial turf on top, and wood grain textures.
