Body-field

Body-fields are oil paintings on canvas made in a series of 4 (plus one piece in making). These paintings are, to some extent, inspired by the style of painting and sculpture of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries of Italy and more contemporary visual images. In addition, the pleasant method of twentieth-century avant-garde European painting has inspired these paintings as well. The image of tangled and overlapping bodies is my personal understanding of contemporary human emotions. These images are not just figures, but also decorative and expletive elements from which I benefit as graphic-painting textures to express colors and shapes.
