These pictures are from the Singular Improbabilities - a cycle of images involving models shot in the studio who are collaged into scenes shot around the world to create surrealist juxtapositions and a new reality. The images are morphed and the morphs add texture and layered illusions.

Bio
I'm retired from a lifetime of teaching photography and the art history of photography at the University of Victoria. I now work as a fine art photographer with a studio in Victoria's historic Chinatown.

My present work takes several forms including the Singular Improbabilities, from which these pictures come. It is a post modern surrealist cycle of images that combine models from the studio with street realities from across Europe and North America. The images in the series create a frisson between expected reality and the experience of the unexpected.
