A few years ago I saw a boy in my dream. The boy’s face was quite familiar to me. The boy was playing on the playground with a big smile. I visited my primary school in search of my childhood dream. However, new buildings with new classrooms had been set up in the school yard and playground I remembered. I was disappointed because many things had changed but the hill ascending to the main school grounds and the outdoor steps still remained unchanged. Sitting on the steps for a while, I thought back to my childhood. Things in the past become forgotten or blurred over time. No matter how impressive our memories are, they fade and simplify over time. For this reason, I embarked on my work with the question, “Are the past images that come into my mind distorted from the original?”
