I base on what I want to express before I select what media and materials to work with, but mostly I work with photography, painting, sculpture and installation.

I get a lot of inspiration from the theater, with a background as an actor, and I observe my own staged everyday. From the theater comes also my fascination for the baroque elements used, including costumes and backdrops. These have a special quality, a "theatrical texture" which I want to communicate and where I make use of the textiles sculptural vision.

In a world of constant impressions I work with issues concerning roles and the roles boundaries, the social positions we occupy in life and how we played them out. I am interested in the body and its encounter with the outside world, and my work revolves around the social and the awareness of going from one role to another. I describe, among other things, social limitations as a result of external influences, physical presence and withdrawal, creating suspended, frozen moments in order to strenghten the expression.
Currently I work with textiles and thermoplastics to show how clothes can act as an extension of the body.

The work Strong Folds'll consists of five sculptures made from Thermoplastic material, a natural type of cotton impregnated with a thermoplastic (non-toxic) resin and looks like a white grid. It's basically hard, but can by using boiled water or hot air be shaped by hand and must be processed quickly before it cools. With the sculptures, I try to create a feeling of proximity, at the same time as there is absence of the body. To achieve this I work with folds to create the illusion of soft, movable clothing. The challenge is the limited material and how such a hard material can result in such a delicate and fragile results.
