This installations is my MFA thesis show titled, "Whispers of Sadako." It is in honor of a young girl I never met, Sadako Sasaki. When I was struggling to find a place for my voice, I read the book “Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes.” Sadako's story caused a shift in my life and my MFA program. Originally my MFA was to be in photography, then it shifted to installation art. The shift also caused a realization that photography is one of my tools as an artist, but my expression will call for the media best to express it. Sadako's voice altered the course of my life 75 years after her death.
